Do you use talcum powder?

Steve and Mel were running a random poll at work today to find out whether or not anyone uses talcum powder?!! What are your views? Most of us concluded that we had as a child, but now it seems that only our parents/grandparents use it!! We also concluded that it was a really odd thing, yet strangely comforting!?
So what do you think? Talcum powder: Yay or nay?
And...WHY?!?!

Wow! A truly intellectual discussion...hmm...I have to say I never use talc but my mother (who is grandparent age) does. I have v dry skin so steer well clear of anything that might dry it even further. Fave talc smell would have to be Body Shop white musk (which also happens to be my perfume)
I clearly have too much time on my hands. Type "history of talcum powder" into google and you get the most bizarre sites! This includes spookily named "bloghogg!" Boss Hogg says he uses talc for "sweaty bits!" I didn't ask for any more elaboration!
Heehee!! That is so funny! I clearly also have too much time on my hands to have written about it!! Yes I have to agree on the white musk front... Mmmmmmm!!
