Decorative optimism....

Well, it is official. I am FINISHED!!!! First year of Uni over! Unfortunately I was unable to do my final presentation due to being ill but I managed to get the work in and apparently it went well.
So, home for 3.5 months.... What to do? This is the plan: I am focusing this summer on setting up the business properly, which will be a challenge for the "noob" like me! For now, I am going to own the company as a sole trader, as this works out best whilst I am studying. At any time afterwards I can switch it to become a partnership or a LTD company, but whilst I will not be earning mega bucks due to doing a full-time degree, there is little point in being limited now and paying corporation tax etc.
The first step to setting up the business is decorating our office. JT doesn't know that I am attempting this today and it was meant to be a surprise, until I encountered the following problems: The delightful magnolia paint (we have no choice in the colour here!) does not stick the the hideous silk baby blue paint that is currently on the walls. Also, the room is full of heavy furniture and I am struggling to move it.
However the Broadband is installed, the desk is partially re-built and hopefully any time soon we will be able to ditch the salmon pink curtains on their black plastic pole and change the salmon pink lamp shade *shudder*.
Any ideas for office interior design? I am excited about doing some research on this.... How to funk up magnolia - careful how you say that.

Hello gorgeous! Congratulations on finishing your first year! Well done clever cloggs :) I know you've worked really hard on top of juggling lots of other important things like a marriage, home, health, earning money on the side, friends and cats! How do you do it Mrs? I need some tips. I stil have another 4 weeks of placement, but I'm handing in my final assignment of 3rd year this friday so after then things will feel a bit more managable. Love you lots and looking forward to seeing you over the summer xx p.s. why don't you funk up your office with some colourful/patterned furniture? I have a pretty floral (and cheap) swivel chair from ikea. x
