It hurts :( An essay about chocolate!!

Oooh the pain! I am writing an essay (painful)...About CHOCOLATE!! (Agonising). It is actually quite interesting, I am comparing an advert from the end of the 19th century for Rowntree's Elect Cocoa (Beggarstaffs) to a recent Dairy Milk campaign by Cadbury where a giant Dairy Milk was replicated on billboards and gradually got 'eaten' over a period of a month! It is absolutely brilliant, I noticed it on my way in and out of IKEA in October... I remembered it because when I first went in I looked at it and thought "mmmm Cadbury Dairy Milk!" but on the way out, I noticed that the usual Cadbury font said "clocking" and where it would say "Dairy Milk" it said "off for the day?"

There are four designs that I have come across so far, "Dairy Milk", "Children asleep in bed?" "Cocooned beneath the duvet?" and "Clocking off for the day?" All of them have 3D chocolate chunks under the poster and over the period of a month, the wrapper peels back revealing silver foil underneath as various chunks are taken away.

The idea behind the witty slogans is to remind the public about the 'everyday' places in which they eat chocolate. Fascinating stuff! I recommend checking out either cadbury.com or cadburydairymilk.com to see some of the designs.
