Unique offerings...

This is a showcase for my tiny yet hilarious Grandma... I must endeavour to explain her Christmas classics. I only post this because a) she will never see it (actually she is getting into technology lately... :-S) and b) I actually look forward to the Christmas classics because it is a bit of comedy for Christmas day! she also is very generous with financial gifts at Christmas and birthday times so we can't complain!!

Ok, you know how at Christmas you receive lots of wonderful gifts and then some which are little short of, well, disasterous? Well Grandma has a true eye for the disasterous. Like I say she always gives us a wholesome wad of cash so it doesn't matter in the slightest. Also her 'street' terminology is not diminishing in the least at her (almost) 81 years of age. However, I had to showcase this year's truest classics, as I nearly wet myself laughing into my wrapping paper (G-ma was looking on earnestly so couldn't laugh too loudly!!) as we unwrapped these beauties. I have to say that JT wins the competition hands down this year - the poor boy had to keep a straight face as he unwrapped some kind of middle aged book (with an old lady on the front) entitled "The Cat's Whiskers"!! Following that was the hysterical miniature book on "Buddy Holly"!! Where DID she get it from?!? It is cheerfully entitled "They died too young", which was a lovely warming Christmas thought. Ah well...

I was touched (in all the wrong places) to receive a broken plastic frog... On a rocking chair!! ....?! and some classic country cottage salad servers. Very us.

Like I say, we are not trying to sound ungrateful, but it was hilarious! Can't remember what Tim got, but I'm sure if we ask him nicely he might tell us on his blog.

Has anyone else received anything weird and wonderful?!
