Great excitement!!!

I can't help feeling a little excited!! I have just produced my third culinary success this year!! (I am not that lazy, I have cooked more than three times this year!) I mean cooking new things. In trying to maintain my new year's resolution to learn how to cook, I have successfully made a cake for JT (I have made very successful cakes in the past but we have only just got good cake tins since being married), last week I made sausage casserole and we didn't drop down dead (even though I am scared of cooking meat!) and tonight I made a chilli Mexican job with potato skins as well! WOOHOOO! JT enjoyed it too :-) We are very full.

I knew that something needed to change when George (Hoggstar) went down with a sore throat the other week and I thought I'd try to make her some heart shaped toffees to make her feel better. However, when I tested one on JT, he turned a slightly funny shade of purple and tried to subtly throw it in the bin without me noticing!! Unfortunately the sugar hadn't melted properly and it was like eating sugar lumps :-( I knew it was a problem because JT is usually very gracious with my cooking (he is much better than me...)

So watch this space... Anyone for dinner? (MUHWUAHUA!!!)

Ugh... The Mexican thing has just reminded me of my most unfortunate predictive text moment... This is what I once sent to a friend: "Hey how are you? How was your evening? Mine was good, helped bonk a mexican for my friend's 27th! It was fun xx" WARRGGGHHHHHH!!! Of course I meant "cook a Mexican" - it wouldn't have been so disasterous if it was Pizza or something!
