A varied weekend...

I can't believe that tomorrow is Monday, meaning that I am back at Uni and back to the web site building! Craziness... I am quite nervous about the new term as I just about got through the last one with a LOT of help from the big man upstairs (that's God, not the man who lives in the flat above us!!!) Still I am looking forward to it too and hoping that as time goes by, things will get a little easier.

This weekend has been fun but tiring. On Saturday we went kite flying with Scott, Harry, Lois and Esme. They flew their kite pretty well, but for some reason I had a pretentious moment (in the gale that was blowing) and decided that I'd like a go on JT's kite. I slid straight down the muddy hill and lodged the kite in a thorny tree!! Mortification!! Poor JT has loads of scratches and was covered in green tree stuff, whereas I got off with tree stuff in my eyes, all over my coat and twigs in my hair etc. We did finally rescue the kite and decided that it was safer to fly a little aeroplane kite that we have. Esme (age 3) flew it too (see photo) and was very excited by the whole thing.

In the evening we had dinner with our lovely neighbours Chris & Aline who are sadly moving out :-( They cooked us a lovely lasagne and a syrup sponge pudding!! Mmmmmmm.... How exciting!

After a slightly late night, we went to my parents' for a turkey lunch because my Mum cooked an amazing Christmas dinner at Christmas and couldn't taste it due to a cold!! after that we went to church and now I am sitting in bed typing whilst JT builds his exciting new trains board!! I am hoping to plan a little trains party for him and some of the boys who also like trains with pizzas and beer etc when it is done to celebrate because he's so excited about it! :-)

Anyway, I will stop rambling... Night night all!! (Until I think of a new post!)
