Bloggin' embarrassin' !!

Yes. The swan... I reported the other day on a live swan being transported up the London Road serenely on the back of a gypsy wagon. I couldn't BELIEVE that they had nicked a swan and was very upset that Sunday roast might end up as one of the Queen's finest!
Today I received this text from George... "The swan is alive! We went past the gypsies on A40 and the swan was sitting on the verge just chillin'"
I cannot tell you the relief that went through my mind as I sat eating Sunday lunch with my brother and sister-in-law and niece. Thank goodness.
However I then had a weird cross between cringing with stupidity, blondeness and embarrassment mixed with trying not to wee with laughter when I received a further text from George on her way home...
"It's a fibreglass swan...um"
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The RSPCA interrogation has been cancelled, as has the telegram to Queenie, as have my nightmares/waking up in a cold sweat thinking guiltily about Sunday roast.

I actually thought it was real too. Who bothers to have a fibreglass swan chained outside their caravan?
