A fun day!

Monday was cool. JT was off work so we had a leisurely start to the day. We flew JT's kite (well at least, he flew the kite and I read a book) and had a picnic on Cleeve Hill, then went into town briefly. After this we decided it might be fun to chase the steam train between cheltenham and Toddington to take some photos when it 'landed' (as you do!)

JT drove really fast and we chased it to Winchcombe and back! When we got to Cheltenham Racecourse I took some snaps and the driver actually let me stand inside the engine!! I was about as excited as a 4 year-old then immediately felt bad because JT would have loved to go in I'm sure.

After this, I was a little surprised/perplexed to see a large bra and pair of boobs rising above the station platform, followed by a pair of knickers. Not your everyday occurrence amongst train folk, who tend to don a slugular-like appearance with a pair of dentures that have gone through the blender and one of Elton John's toupées (but the Lord loves all types as we well know). ((No offence to Luke, JT, Keith, Pete, Mark, my Dad and brother who all love trains - this does not apply to you guys!))

What could it be?! Did we actually want to find out?!? As it happened, two hot air balloons were being launched and for whatever reason the bird who had been mistakenly lying around in her underwear ended up plastered on the side of one. I carefully took a photo of the basket... Then we realised that the other slowly inflating balloon looked like Elma the elephant! I was delighted and took more photos. What a treat to see a hot air balloon launch!
